1. Markthal Rotterdam (Markthallen)

The Market Hall in Rotterdam, also known as the Markthallen, is one of the city’s most impressive landmarks. With an area of 11,000m2 divided into 100 fresh units, about 15 shops, several restaurants and 228 residences. 2. Erasmusbridge Rotterdam

The Erasmus Bridge is one of the most authentic sights known to the port city. Also known as the Swan that connects the Center with the Kop van Zuid, across the river Maas. The 139 meters high light blue steel lets you enjoy the architecture that belongs to Rotterdam.

3. Depot Boijmans van Beuningen - Rotterdam landmark

A collection of art and objects from around the world are on display at the Depot Boijmand van Beuningen in Rotterdam. The building in itself is a work of art to behold with its 1664 mirrors on the exterior sides. The Depot opened its doors for the first time in the fall of 2021.

4. Rotterdam Central Station

Rotterdam Central Station is yet another unique landmark of Rotterdam. It has made global news because of its iconic architecture. Besides serving as a landmark, it is used daily by 130,000 passengers who use the bus, streetcar metro and train.

5. Euromast Rotterdam

6. Kubuswoningen (Cube Houses)

The Cube Houses, also known as the Viewing Cube, belongs to the splendor when it comes to the sights of Rotterdam. The houses have anything but an ordinary shape and therefore makes it difficult to live there. There is a home on display to give you a glimpse of the Cube Houses.

7. SS Rotterdam - Hotel & restaurant

8. De Kuip - Feyenoord!

9. Kabouter Buttplug (Santa Claus)

It is a special statue that is supposed to represent Santa Claus, but is more popularly known as Gnome Buttplug. The large statue stands in the middle of Eendrachtsplein, the square where the Oude Binnenweg runs into the Nieuwe Binnenweg.

Walk right down the pleasant Oude Binnenweg.

10. Hoerenloper (Rijnhaven Bridge)

The Rijnhaven Bridge, better known as the Hooker or Love Bridge, connects the modern Kop van Zuid near Hotel New York with the bustling Katendrecht. You can walk or bike across the bridge alone and enjoy the beautiful view.

Take a lock and hang it on the bridge. You’re not the only one.

11. Delfshaven - Historic Rotterdam

Delfshaven is one of the few historic places that survived the bombing of World War II. It is full of beautiful canal houses, cozy squares and the picturesque little harbor. Highly recommended as an attraction in Rotterdam.

12. Sint Laurenskerk - Center of Rotterdam

The Sint Laurenskerk is the only medieval relic in the center of Rotterdam. The imposing building stands between the Cube Houses and the Market Hall, making it fit in with the furniture of the city.

After your visit, take a seat at Little V. A delicious Thai (Vietnamese) restaurant at the foot of the church.

13. Old Harbour

The Old Port is therefore the oldest port in Rotterdam. It is full of lovely terraces in the sun and restaurants where you can stay until the late hours. Especially on a hot summer day, the place is packed with young and old.

14. Club Haug

Besides being an incredibly cozy comedy café, Club Haug has one of the most beautiful views in the city. You are just below and next to the Maasboulevard right on the water. On the left you see the Willemsbrug and on the right the Erasmus Bridge. Definitely a hidden gem.

15. Witte de Withstraat

Last but absolutely not least: the Witte de Withstraat. An incredibly busy nightlife street with a wide variety of restaurants, cocktail bars, café and even coffee shops. It is always pleasantly crowded and you hop from one bar stool to the next.
